Gabriel Kline began studying music at the age of 12. Through the years, Gabriel has participated in award-winning ensembles, as well as competed in solo competitions, such as the Northwest Guitar Festival, Oklahoma City University Guitar Competition, and the Brownsville Guitar Competition. Gabriel attended the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts where they studied jazz, pop, and classical guitar under the direction of Bill Swick. Gabriel also began studying privately with former student of the world famous Romero family, Mel Hallam. These studies led Gabriel to Portland, OR, where Gabe pursued a Bachelor's of Music in Classical Guitar Performance at Portland State University studying under Jesse McCann M.M. of the Oregon Guitar Quartet. Gabriel has since participated in masterclasses with many notable guitarists including Sergio Assad, Jason Vieaux, Raphaël Feuillâtre, Eva Beneke, Connie Sheu, Michael Partington, Yuri Liberzon, and Tengyue Zhang.
Gabriel is currently a Senior year at Portland State University and seeks to pursue a career in Music Education and Music Therapy. While the guitar is Gabriel’s main instrument, Gabe is a talented multi-instrumentalist and regularly teaches piano, ukulele and bass. Gabe formerly taught piano lessons through the public elementary school system in Las Vegas NV. Sharing their love of music, Gabe performs often at open-mics such as the Portland Guitar Society, as well as through recitals, and live-streams.
