Matias Mendoza is a dedicated and patient instructor, as well as a talented multi-instrumentalist skilled in guitar, ukulele, bass, and piano.  Matias enjoys teaching both classical and all popluar styles of guitar.  

 

Matias passion for music and music education drives him to continuously learn and grow.  Currently, Mr. Mendoza is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Music Education at Portland State University, studying classical guitar under the Mario Diaz, and is to graduate in the spring of 2026.

 

With a background in education, Matias understands the significance of sharing music with future generations and is deeply committed to teaching students of all ages. Mr. Mandoza particularly enjoys witnessing the moments when students grasp concepts and become enchanted by music.

 

Active in the Northwest guitar community, Matias participates in guitar festivals as a competitor and has had the privilege of performing in masterclasses including with the acclaimed Los Angeles Guitar Quartet.
